Frequently asked questions
About our supplements
Are your supplements suitable for vegans?
Most of our supplements are vegan-friendly and clearly labelled. We use plant-based capsules and avoid animal-derived ingredients wherever possible. Please check individual product pages for specific dietary information.
Where are your supplements manufactured?
All of our supplements are manufactured in the UK in GMP-certified facilities. You can read more about the standards those facilities work to on our how our supplements are made page.
Do your supplements contain artificial fillers or additives?
No. Our supplements are formulated using carefully considered ingredient dosages, without unnecessary fillers, artificial colours or synthetic additives. Every active is printed at its own weight, so there are no proprietary blends hiding a formula you can't see.
Are your supplements suitable for long-term use?
Our supplements are designed to support everyday routines and are suitable for ongoing use when taken as directed. We recommend reviewing product labels and taking regular breaks where appropriate.
Can I take multiple supplements together?
In many cases, yes. However, we recommend checking individual product labels or consulting a healthcare professional if you are combining supplements or taking medication.
Are your supplements safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We recommend consulting your GP or midwife before taking any supplements during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, as individual needs can vary. Some of our formulas are specifically not recommended during pregnancy — the How to take it tab on each product page will tell you.
Ordering & delivery
How long does delivery take?
UK orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days and sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48, which usually arrives within 2 working days of dispatch.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free UK delivery on every order, with no minimum spend. Royal Mail Tracked 48 is our only delivery option, so there is nothing to choose and nothing to pay at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at present. We currently deliver within the UK only.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order has been dispatched you will receive a tracking number by email so you can follow delivery progress.
What if my order is delayed or lost?
If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us with your order number and we will investigate promptly.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched it cannot be modified, but it can still be returned — see below.
Subscriptions
Do you offer a subscription?
Yes. Every product in the range can be bought as a one-off or on Subscribe & Save, which takes 15% off and delivers automatically. You choose the interval at checkout: every 30, 60 or 90 days.
Which interval should I choose?
Match it to how long the pot actually lasts you. Most of our pots are a month's supply at the stated serving, so 30 days suits most people taking one product daily. If you take a product every other day, or you have a few pots in rotation, 60 or 90 days will suit you better than building up a cupboard full.
Can I change or cancel it?
Yes, at any time, with no minimum term. Your order confirmation emails contain a link to manage your subscription, where you can change the interval, skip a delivery or cancel outright. If you would rather we did it for you, email support@thehealthimprovers.uk. Full details are in our Cancellations Policy.
Does the 60-day returns policy apply to subscription orders?
Yes. A subscription delivery is treated exactly like any other order — 60 days, no reason needed, and opened pots are fine.
Returns & refunds
What is your returns policy?
You have 60 days from delivery to return anything for a full refund. You don't need to give a reason. Email support@thehealthimprovers.uk with your order number to start a return. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Can I return an opened pot?
Yes. We would rather you actually tried it than kept an unopened pot you weren't sure about, so an opened or part-used pot can still come back within 60 days — even if it's half empty.
Who pays for return postage?
If you are returning something because you have changed your mind, the return postage is at your own cost. If the item is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, we cover it — and we will refund any postage you have already paid.
What if I receive a damaged or incorrect product?
Please contact us as soon as possible, ideally with a photo of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you.
How long does a refund take?
We'll email you once your return has arrived and been checked. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 2 business days of approval, though your bank or card provider may take a few days longer to show it.
Using our supplements
How should I store my supplements?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and do not use if the seal is broken.
What is the shelf life of your products?
All products display a best-before date on the packaging. Most supplements have a shelf life of 18–24 months when stored correctly.
When is the best time to take supplements?
This varies by product. Some are best taken with food, others on an empty stomach. Always refer to the product label, or the How to take it tab on the product page.
How long should I give a supplement before deciding?
Food supplements are designed to be a daily habit rather than a short course, and they work gradually to support normal bodily functions. Most of our pots are a month's supply. We deliberately set our returns window at 60 days — longer than a single pot lasts — so you have time to decide without any rush.
Can I take your supplements if I am on medication?
If you are taking prescription medication or have a medical condition, we recommend consulting your GP or pharmacist before starting any new supplement. Several of our formulas contain botanicals with recognised interactions, and these are listed in the How to take it tab on the product page.
What should I do if I experience side effects?
Discontinue use and consult your GP. While our ingredients are generally well tolerated, individual responses can vary.
Ingredients & sourcing
Where do you source your ingredients?
We source ingredients from trusted suppliers, prioritising natural and responsibly sourced materials wherever possible.
Do your products contain allergens?
All allergens are declared on the product packaging and in the Ingredients tab on each product page. Several of our formulas contain soya, and some contain fish or crustacean-derived ingredients — please check the individual product page before ordering.
Are your supplements organic?
Several are certified organic by the Soil Association under registration GB-ORG-05. Where that applies it is stated on the product page along with the registration number, which you can look up. Where it doesn't apply, we don't imply it.
Do you use GMO ingredients?
We avoid genetically modified ingredients wherever possible and prioritise non-GMO sources.
Health, safety & regulation
Are food supplements regulated in the UK?
Yes. All food supplements sold in the UK must comply with regulations set by the Food Standards Agency and retained EU food law, including the GB nutrition and health claims register, which governs what a supplement is permitted to say about its ingredients. We've written a plain-English explanation of what's legal and what's marketing.
Can supplements cure or treat medical conditions?
No. Our supplements are designed to support normal bodily functions as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease.
Your account & privacy
Is my personal information secure?
Yes. We use secure payment processing and industry-standard encryption to protect your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I update my account details?
Log in to your account and visit Account Settings to update your personal information.
